Ipad 2 Demand Higher than original iPad


Mike Abramsky, an analyst at RBC Capital, expects that Apple sold over 7 million units of iPad tablets in the past quarter ending March 26.

With that in mind, he also believes that Apple will beat market outlook for its earnings report slated next week. The iPad is not the only product which got strong sales volume, Apple’s MacBook laptops (Pro and Air) also got citation for robust demand.

His research conducted on March is based on a survey results for over 2000 respondents in America. Its outcome reveals 40% higher demand for Apple’s new tablet than its original predecessor last year. 28% said they planned to purchase iPad 2 by responding with a “very likely” “to somewhat likely” answer, according to the survey. Last 2010, it was reported that only 20% replied the same.
