Smartphone Comparison :HTC Desire vs HTC Incredible S

HTC’s Verizon DROID Incredible has spawned a European version, the HTC Incredible S, now packing a GSM radio into its unusually angular casing. HTC describes the style as “inside out” design, though what’s really on the inside is a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8255 single-core processor. Unusually, despite HTC claiming that the Incredible S will be positioned as an Android enthusiast’s device, it will actually launch with 2.2 Froyo.   which ,will be upgraded to Android 2.4 Gingerbread “early on” according to Slashgea

 HTC Sense, an 8-megapixel autofocus camera with dual-LED flash on the back, and a front-facing 1.3-megapixel webcam for video calls. 1.1GB of internal storage, 768MB of RAM and a microSD memory card slot round things out.

The HTC  Desire was shipped with Android 2.1. HTC made an update to Android 2.2 (codenamed "Froyo") available on the following dates:

  • Europe: 1 August 2010
  • SE Asia: 30 August 2010
  • India: 1 September 2010
  • Japan: 8 October 2010
  • US: 8 February 2011
HTC is rumoured to have plans to release the Android 2.3 update (Gingerbread) in June 2011.SlashGear,

The HTC Incredible S had  been announced by HTC at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. The OS of the HTC Incredible S will be Adnroid 2.2 and will be updated to 2.3 very soon. The HTC Incredible S will have a 4" screen and will have a resolution of 800x480 pixels.

HTC Incredible S and HTC Desire S are Android smartphones with latest HTC sense for user interface. Out of these two smartphones, HTC Incredible S and HTC Desire S, HTC Incredible S is a high end phone with 4 inches WVGA super LCD display, 1GHz processor, 8 MP camera with HD camcorder and virtual surround sound. The HTC Desire S has not changed much from the previous model. It has got the same 3.7 inches WVGA display, 1GHz processor and 5 MP camera. What is visible is its body design; it has adopted the HTC legend design.
