global networks, Twitter and LinkedIn have posted two of the highest growth rates
for audience size over the past year, positioning them as formidable players in
the global marketplace.
Other regional social networks on the rise are microblogging sites Sina Weibo (Sina Microblogging), which exhibited the highest growth at 181 percent, and Tumblr, with a 172-percent increase. European-based Badoo also posted strong gains at 64 percent.
