Samsung Galaxy S II Ice Cream Sandwich updates in Europe

Data collected during a 14-day period ending on March 5, 2012

Samsung Galaxy S II Ice Cream Sandwich updates have starter rolling in select markets!: "This time it’s official and real, with Samsung turning to both Twitter and Facebook to announce this. Ice Cream Sandwich is coming  to Galaxy S II users in select countries of Europe, including Poland, Hungary, Sweden, as well as Korea, with additional markets to get it soon, too.

Moreover, other devices will get the same treatment, such as the GALAXY Note, Galaxy S II LTE, GALAXY Tab 8.9 and GALAXY Tab 10.1.

But that’s not all, older (and not that powerful) devices will get a new Android 2.3 Gingerbread firmware upgrades, packing some of the ICS goodies like Face Unlock, Snapshot, Photo Editor and more. This group includes the Samsung Galaxy S, GALAXY Tab 7, GALAXY S Plus, GALAXY S SCL (Super Clear LCD) and GALAXY W, all of which should get new firmwares from the end of March.

Of course, the initial batch is dedicated to owners of unlocked Samsung devices with those owning carrier-branded versions set to get it at a later date, subject to mobile operator’s requirements."
