The whois records on both domain names show they were registered on Tuesday — the day after the announcement.

The microblogging service said in a blog post that the Posterous staff "has built an innovative product that makes sharing across the Web and mobile devices simple — a goal we share."
Founded in 2008, Posterous is one of the better-known companies emerging from the tech incubator Y Combinator.Many social media pundits consider Posterous to be the leading free application for lifestreaming. The platform received wide attention when leading social media expert Mustafa Kaptan declared he was moving his blogging activity entirely to Posterous
