iPad Mini Coming on 17th October,2012

Most pundits believe Apple’s 7-inch tablet, the iPad Mini, will see light of day on Oct 17.
According to Fortune‘s Philip Elmer-DeWitt, a major Apple investor claims to have heard from multiple sources that members of the press will receive invitations to an Apple event on Oct. 10. History suggests that this would mean that the actual event would have to take place on Oct. 17 and that whatever’s announced would likely hit shelves on the Friday of the following week, which would be Oct. 26.
The tiny tablet — which Apple has never officially acknowledged — will be less of everything. It will be the iPad Retina’s stunted little brother. It will offer less screen real estate than the 9.7-inch iPad and fewer overall pixels (though it is sure to be another retina-resolution display). Two sources claim that the iPad mini — as it may or may not be called — will have a 7.85-inch screen with a lower resolution than the current iPad model.
The device’s screen is made by South Korea’s LG Display company and Taiwan’s AU Optronics, claim WSJ’s sources.

Despite all this, the iPad Mini will be a perfect example of “less is more.”Tech industry sources explain that Apple is brilliant on managing all the parts and capabilities and knock down the size to compete with Galaxy Note  Apple might be able to finally  offer a $199 tablet
