Retail Shopping via Device : Smartphones vs Tablets

U.S. consumers made $8 billion worth of retail purchases via smartphones in 2012, 3% of total e-commerce sales, Forrester Research Inc. says.

laptop computers are the only devices with higher conversion rates on each day (Thanksgiving through Cyber Monday) compared to 2011.This small slice of 2012 holiday season data compared to last year also
reveals lower overall conversion rates on three of the four days leading up to and following Cyber Monday. Yet, when looking at the entire months of both November and December, conversion rates are higher than last year almost across the board.

The data clearly shows desktops and laptops rules during The Holiday season, Mobile and Tablets have shown a higher number this year, due to the fact that the overall volume of transactions they might not have translated into  a higher percentage
