First, the mobile market came out with 1080p Full HD displays, a feature that was mainly available only for the TV industry. Now, another typical home entertainment feature will be coming to the mobile market with a  7.1 surround system .

 The new Qualcomm Snapdragon processor comes with the ability to replicate a 7.1 surround sound speaker system -- even through a pair of standard headphones. Dubbed Headphone:Xand the added ability of the the processor's ability to play 4k video.

During the World Mobile Congress Qualcomm 's booth  resembled a mini movie theater. It was designed to showcase the media capabilities of their new flagship chip, the Snapdragon 800 which showed off real-world capabilities. Their prime example was showing a preview of the new Star Trek: Into Darkness trailer streamed directly onto an Ultra HD 4K TV from a Snapdragon 800 equipped tablet featuring the 7.1 Dolby Digital Surround sound capabilities.

Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 800 processor line was designed and scheduled to come for high-end devices and Smart TVs in the second half of this year. Qualcomm claims that the Snapdragon 800 offers 1.75 times better performance than the S4. The chip series has at a glance the following specifications:
