Based on the number of registrations,California has the highest number of motorbikes in United States, followed by Florida and Texas.This  chart above from statista c represents the leading U.S. states based on motorcycle registrations in 2014. With some 799,900 motorcycle registrations, California was ranked first that year. The total number of motorcycle registrations exceeded 8.4 million units in 2013.

However in terms  of per capita motorcycle ownership.South Dakota ranked the best. There are a total of 69,284 motorcycles registered in the state, according to the Department of Transportation, and with a total population of 816,598,
South Dakota comes in first with 12 people for every motorcycle beating the national

The most fun thing about driving a Tesla Model S might be not driving at all. The electric car company has unveiled a new software update that will allow its TESLA  Model S cars to automatically steer, and maintain safe distance from cars both sideways and in front  including change lanes, and park on their own.

 However  Elon Musk refuses to call it an  autonomous car—it’s not quite there yet, though Musk says his vision is o eventually produce fully driverless cars without steering wheels or pedals. Instead, Tesla is billing the new capabilities as “autopilot” features that will occasionally require hands on the steering wheel

About 60,000 Model S vehicles will get these autopilot features over the coming week. The update will be downloaded and installed automatically in all Model S cars, but only those sold since September 2014 come standard with the necessary equipment for autopilot mode, including an ultrasonic sensor, front-facing camera, forward radar, and GPS navigation with high-precision digital maps.

Various models of the Honda Accord have the undesirable reputation as America's most stolen car for 2013.Across the country, nearly 54,000 of them were stolen throughout the year. Another Honda model, the Civic, comes second with 45,000 thefts. The Chevrolet Silverado came third with 27,800 thefts in 2013. As depressing as these figures may seem, it isn't all doom and gloom for American car owners, especially American Honda owners. According to the FBI, car theft is firmly on the downward spiral. In fact, this year may represent a 50 percent fall in car theft from its peak in 1991.

Open Automotive Handset Alliance Signals The Era of Smarter Interconnected Devices Power by Artificial Intelligence

Google Teams up for Open Automotive handset Alliance : Auto Industry Heading Towards More Intelligent Interconnected Devices

Just recently at CES 2014, Google announced that it had tied up with GM, Honda, Audi, Hyundai, and chipmaker Nvidia to create the Open Automotive Alliance – with the intent of bring Android-powered in-car systems to market before 2014 is over. 

 While the concept of having Android in the car is not new (several touchscreen Android car stereos are already available in the market and several existing systems can interface with Android phones), the Open Automotive Alliance aims to make the whole experience more seamless. Some of the enhanced functionality that you can expect is easier connectivity (streaming internet radio in the car), expandability (enhancing functionality with car-specific apps), multi information displays and easier vehicle diagnostics.

Canada Auto Brand Marketshare in April,2012

Chrysler Canada sold 24,540 new vehicles in April 2012, a gain of 3% compared with April 2011. The group's leading brand, Dodge, was down 20%, though the old Dodge/Ram tandem combined for 15,281 sales, nearly enough to topple the Toyota brand.

Canada's top-ranked brand in April was Ford, though sales slid 5%. Blue Oval sales are down 2% so far this year. GM also took a plunge, down 7% on the whole, with only one of its four brands reporting anything other than a decrease. GMC's 2% increase, mixed with Nissan's 6% loss, was enough to knock Nissan out of the top ten. Nissan ranked sixth just last month.

Canada's new vehicle market grew 5.2% over the course of the first four months of 2012, however. Passenger cars accounted for 48.4% of all sales. General Motors, Ford, and Chrysler brought in 44.2% of all sales.

Ford's Social Media Initiative Targets "Millennials"

The millennials are coming, and few businesses are prepared. For Ford, millennials which the car maker describes as people between the ages of 16-32 are a challenging proposition. Never mind buying a car this generation is getting drivers licenses later, and less often, than previous generations

The “Millennial Generation” also known as Gen Y includes those born between 1982 and 2001 (numbering approximately 80 million individuals in the U.S. alone). This generation outnumbers the baby boomers and is just entering the workforce now, while the bulk of the group will reach adulthoodin the next decade.

But when it comes to Twitter,Millennials are over-indexing.Twitter’s director of sales marketing, Shane Steele, citing third-party research, said 55% of the Twitter audience is made up of Millennials,compared to 40% of the rest of the internet. Ford has worked with Twitter to reach the social-media savvy set for years, having had a strong presence on Twitter since July 2008.
"This group of consumers is an incredible market opportunity, but the way that millennials interact with brands is totally different from earlier generations," said Sheryl Connelly, global consumer trends and futuring manager at Ford Motors.

On Twitter, Ford  is specifically trying to to target them and also observe glimpse at the millennial mindset and figure out what this generation wants, likes and needs from its products. Their use of technology is one of the defining characteristics of this generation. In fact, Gartner refers to them as “digital natives” because technology is embedded in their lives. They have truly never known life without the Internet and mobile phones.

According to Ford The old marketing message showing off the engine, the speed, the car body itself is not working for this  new generation. Millennials are not as interested as baby boomers were in a car as a status symbol. The car for them is about basic transportation but adding technology to the car turns the car into a "lifestyle enabler.

Top 10 Best Selling Car Brands in UK : June,2011 Data

The Ford Fiesta was Britain's best-selling car in June. Sales of the Fiesta were up 7%. The #2-ranked Focus's gains were even greater at 17%. The Ford brand was up 3%.

SMMT says. 13.6% of the 183K were Fords. 36% of those Fords were Fiestas.
The  British new car market was  at a 22% premium in June. In the United States, premium brands owned 11% of the new vehicle market.This is the twelfth consecutive month that the British car market has been in decline.

Ford, General Motors, and the Volkswagen Group sold more vehicles than any other auto manufacturing conglomerate in the UK in June 2011. The market share of each of those three groups, however, was lower in June than it was in May.

Strong BMW and Mini sales helped grow Munich's share of the British car market from 9.4% in May to 10% in June. Peugeot and Citroen improved from 8.2% to 8.6%. Renault and its Nissan/Infiniti partners gained a half a percentage point between May and June. Despite significant year-over-year losses, Toyota/Lexus increased their market share, too. Jaguar and Land Rover fell back from May's 2.3%.
