Japanese Digital Shoppers Still Prefer PC to Smartphones

As connected devices continue to power online shopping and mobile commerce across the world . One country has  been an exception .Japan consumers still favour the good old PC . 

Infact PCs are the overwhelming favourite for digital shoppers in Japan, according to latest research study conducted in Jan 2015 by  Lifemedia Research Bank. Nearly nine in 10 digital shoppers said they used PCs for the purpose, vs. 22.6% who used smartphones and 5.5% who used tablets. -A majority said they preferred to shop on a PC, with only about a third declaring a preference for smartphones. - .

1) show delivery and payment options upfront at the beggining of the checkout process

2) if your offering discount .. or voucher ... show it on the left side of " the product ( a heat map study shows that " users spent 40% of the time on the left side of the website

3) mention in bold and H1 tags if Shipping is free.. if not show this during checkout process when customers have already selected your product

4) For users selecting multiple product, make the process easier by  allowing users to save the product as they " check out

5) Show customer support number across all pages

The Hitwise data featured is based on US market share of visits as defined by the IAB, which is the percentage of online traffic to the domain or category, from the Hitwise sample of 10 million US internet users. Hitwise measures more than 1 million unique websites on a daily basis, including sub-domains of larger websites. Hitwise categorizes websites into industries on the basis of subject matter and content, as well as market orientation and competitive context. The market share of visits percentage does not include traffic for all sub-domains of certain websites that could be reported on separately.
