Apple launched
a new entry level iPod Touch early Thursday, and also quietly confirmed that they've sold 100 millon of the portable media devices since launching the line in 2007.
Both announcements came, well, without announcements of any sort; the new iPod quietly appeared in Apple's online store last night, and company spokespeople mentioned the sales milestone in a conversation with blogger Jim Dalrymple. There isn't a related press release to be found.

The $229 device features the same slim form factor, A5 chip, 4" Retina display and iOS 6 operating system as Apple's other Touch models, but lacks the rear-facing camera and larger storage capacities of the previous Touches. Available only in one configuration (16GB of storage paired with a black & silver finish), the newest iPod will ship within 24 hours and be available in Apple retail stores tomorrow.

The Apple Reality Distortion: Left Brain vs Right Brain

In 2011 Apple made $13 billion -- second only to ExxonMobil's  record-setting $14.8 billion quarter from the fall of 2008, when oil prices were at an all-time high.Apple has crossed the $400 billion,$500 billion and $600 billion marks -- all in 2012 -- as the stock has soared 64% this year in 2012
The above infographic is from the market research firm Ask Your Target Market (AYTM) which tries to Analyse how Apple induces relative distortion amongs it users vs " how consumers  react " scientifically when it compares products via left brain or right brain ( emotion vs logic)
The Most Apple Fans are of two types, those who love Apple and those who hate to love Apple. No other consumer electronic companies have had the fan following of Apple .. and  even if a part of it  was due to their founder and chief  Steve Jobs, today Apple has grown  into a Mind Boggling Corporation that "  is among the top 10 corporates in the world in terms of revenue
Research survey indicates( via Mashable ) that  48% of U.S. adults who’ve never owned an Apple device probably don’t think Apple products are insanely great, but point to Apple aficionados as simply insane. Others in that group just plain can’t afford Apple’s expensive baubles.

Steve Jobs Turnaround at Apple Depicted in Charts

Dan Dummer has charted out a great  Post showing Apple Financial performance under Steve Jobs  at  Splatf goes without saying that Steve Jobs’ effect on Apple was profound. You don’t call a guy the best corporate leader in history for nothing. But just how dramatically did Steve turn Apple around in the 14 years after Gil Amelio got the boot?  The chart shows exactly that
Based on this comparison of Apple’s 10-Q report from the June quarter of 1997 — right before Jobs started to increase his role at Apple — and Apple’s most recent quarterly results, it’s pretty amazing
