In Asia pacific out of a total population of 4.1 billion around 1.4billion have an active internet connection a penetration of  35%. Users having an active social media connection  number  1billion  with a 26% penetration .
Meanwhile moving over to mobile, 3.7 billion or 93% of population has a mobile. The number of users  accessing social web via mobile is  879 million

US, Tokyo and London leads global top 3 for media and entertainment Accoding to a recent PwC report titled “Cities of Opportunities” which compares the size of the entertainment & media sector across 30 metropolises around the world. The report takes into account consumer spending on internet access, media and entertainment as well as on- and offline advertising spending. Based on the ranking of these parameters New York, Tokyo and London tops as global media capital followed by Seol ,Hong Kong and Los Angeles.Further PwC predicts New York’s Entertainment & media sector to grow at an average annual rate of 4.5% between 2013 and 2018 among the highest across the world

This data  shows the media consumption in Singapore (data provided by Inmobi mobile ad networks"InMobi's Mobile Media Consumption Study) and shows  total media consumption in Singapore  on an average day.Singapore total media usage  is broken down by  TV, print, radio mobile (smartphones)and tablets including spending time online which is compared to TV, radio print and other media ..Online media tops as the number 1 most viewed medium with 115 mins, whereas mobile usage in singapore  tops as the number 2 with users spending 110 mins on their smartphones along with  53 mins on their tablets In total about 45% media is consumed by the 3 devices in about 8 hours media usage  in Singapore  on an average day . TV is ranked 3rd with users spending 90 mins on the medium

A Recent report by Knight Frank, compares global  apartment prices and ranks cites based on apartment prices in 2015. According to this ranking 1) Monaco ranks number  having the most  expensive property prices. Hong Kong and London ranks 2nd and 3rd as being among  the most expensive property prices. Buying a real estate upwards  for a million US dollars is likely to fetch you a mere 17 meters of real estate in Monaco, 20 square meters of space in London.. and 34 sq metres of space in New york. ranked 4th, 5th and  6th are  NY, Singapore and  Switzerland.
The bottom of the list where you can set up an office quite cheap as compared to  the others are 1) LA, Miami and Beijing..  Remember these data are all comparative and exists at the time of publication

Singapore tops Mobile Payments Readiness Index





Singapore tops Mobile Payments Readiness Index | Cosmedia Consulting: According to MasterCard’s Mobile Payments Readiness Index Singapore is the word’s most mobile payment-ready country. They are closely followed by Canada, the United States, Kenya, South Korea, Japan, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, Saudi Arabia and China.

Some of the key Insights on Research on Mobile Readiness Index includes

  1. 9 out of 10 components leaders are located in the MIddle East, Asia or Africa
  2. In Saudi Arabia, 24% of consumers use mobile devices for P2P payments
  3. Canada  tops in Internet penetration (82% of the population)
  4.  United Arab Emirates came out tops in terms of business absorption of new technology
  5. Japan, Singapore, the United States, Hong Kong and Canada scored tops in the financial services component.
  6. In Japan, there are on average 14.98 payment cards per person.
  7. 100% of Singapore’s population is covered by a mobile network There are 859,000,000 mobile phone subscriptions in China
