Among the largest deals recently in this region were start ups " SPOTIFY, TRUSTPILOT AND IZETTLE
In 2015 Nordic nations received 1.48billion euros of  venture capital investment , a growth of 40% over 2014.  Out of this  267 start up deals were funded  finally by the VC

  • In UK  mobile spends in 2016 is expected to touch 49% of  total digital marketing spends
  • Norway mobile ad spends will contribute 46%
  • France and Denmark mobile will reach 31% in 2016
  • Netherlands, Italy and Germany  will see its mobile spends reach 44% of their total digital budgets
  • Germany mobile ad spends  will see the fastest growth in western europe with 13% increase . In 2015 mobile spends  in Germany contributed 31% of its online ad spends 
  • Both Finland and Sweden will see their  mobile media spends  touch 45%
UK  rank first on Europe as the nation with the highest mobile  ad spends  49%,followed by Norway.Across Western Europe the average mobile ad spends out of total digital media spends is 44%

The global average connection speed saw a 3.5% increase in the second quarter of 2015, to 5.1 Mbps. According to Akamai state of the internet 2015 report.The below chart compared 50 nations and their internet connection speeds.Globally web speeds increased across the board for the top 10 countries/regions, with the exception of South Korea, which saw a 2.1% decrease from the first quarter. Japan saw the largest quarterly gain at 7.8%, while the remaining eight countries saw modest gains ranging from 1.5% in Hong Kong to 4.6% in Switzerland.




On a global basis, 107 of the 143 qualifying countries/regions saw average peak connection speeds increase from the first quarter, with growth ranging from 0.1% in Trinidad and Tobago (to 34.9 Mbps) to 100% in Egypt (to 23.4 Mbps). Other than Egypt, four countries—Uzbekistan, Mauritius, Ghana, and Tunisia—saw quarterly increases of over 50%.

Apparently  employees  in Portugal, Greece and Belgium  spends an average of 12.5 years working in an organisations . In Greece the average length  for an employee to stick to their jobs are the highest with 13 years. Next comes Portugal , where the average time people spend with  a company is 12.5 years. In Belgium is not uncommon  to  continue working in the same company for 12 years..

The UK leads in Internet shopping across europe   with a average   1071 sterling per shopper in 2014, which increased almost 10% in 2015  to record 1174 pounds
Online retail sales are predicted to reach £52.25bn in the UK this year,  which equals to 15% of retail sales online .
Germany ranks no 2 with with  an average german user spending 1023 sterling online as compared to 890 sterling in 2014 , showing a solid growth of  14% in 2015
France takes the next place with online shopping spends per person at 767  sterling, followed by Spain, Italy and Netherlands

Recent research data by Buzzador  on technology  adoption  across the  Scandinavian countries  revealed that  59% of internet users in the Nordic region (including Norway, Denmark, Sweden and Finland) owned a tablet. Norway  leads with 70% tablet penetration rate in the Nordic region, at 70% of internet users in February, followed by Denmark at 62%. Tablet penetration in Sweden was not far behind at 61%. Norway is home to less than 5 million people , which means  2.8million user out of population of 4.28million has a tablet
