How Chrysler is Using Social Media

Chrysler took the social media route in releasing the images and information on the launch of four new or refreshed 2011 models.

In a flurry of blasts from multiple Twitter accounts there were links and images of each carauto shows and then the traditional print magazines (Car & Driver, Road & Track, etc) would write about it. You'd then see and read about it at the news stands before eventually seeing them at your local auto show. The industry is changing rapidly and today's barrage of Chrysler and Fiat vehicles is a prime example. flying across the web.

Chrysler uploaded pictures of the new models to their Facebook fan pages. After doing this they tweeted about the new pictures with links to the pictures on Facebook and Twitpic. This not only got the word out on both platforms but also drove more traffic to their fan pages.

The Jeep® brand reached an unprecedented domestic automotive milestone  as fans on the brand’s Facebook page reached and surpassed the 1 million mark.
