Twitter Doubles its Revenue numbers, exceeds $500 million revenue

With a 100% Growth in revenues, Twitter set to launch an IPO
Twitter will generate more than 500 million dollars in revenue this year, according to an assessment by PrivCo. This represents a doubling of the firm’s estimated 245 million dollars of revenue in 2012. Other analysts estimate even higher sales figures, with eMarketer claiming the micro-blogging platform will make 583 million dollars in revenue in 2013 with over one billion forecast for 2014. Notoriously secret, Twitter has not published any figures. However, this is likely to change in the near future - Twitter announced its IPO by tweet on Thursday and it could fetch upwards of 15 billion dollars, according to PrivCo’s experts.

UK consumers Tops Internet and Mobile Use among 18 European Countries

UK Leads Online Engagement across Europe: A comparison of online engagement across Europe shows that internet users in the UK spent the most amount of time online in December 2012. During the month, UK consumers spent more than 37 hours online on their PC, representing the highest of all 18 European markets analysed. Turkey and Netherlands are second and third in the rankings with internet users spending an average of 31 and 30.6 hours online respectively in December 2012. Even though online engagement in the UK increased by 5 percent over the year, Belgium is the country that achieved the strongest growth of time spent per visitor across Europe. Internet users in Belgium actually spent an additional 2 hours online in December 2012 compared to a year ago.

Spain leading the smartphone revolution in Europe - Google Mobile Ads Blog

Spain is a pioneer in the use of mobile technologies, since, according to the study, 33% of Spanish Internet browsing through mobile, beating UK (30%), France (27%) and Italy (24%)

NM Incite, a Nielsen/McKinsey company, launched the Social Media Brand Equity Ranking (SMBER) Index earlier this year. The index uses a model of analysis to measure and rank brands based on the volume of associated buzz on social media sites and public sentiment surrounding the brand in the social space. It identifies broad patterns of volume, sentiment, frequency and content themes from publicly available social media sources that can include blogs, blog comments, boards, forums, groups, FacebookTwitter and other online services.

The latest Social Media Brand Equity Ranking analyzed a total of 462 brands across 32 categories in India.
Maruti Suzuki has taken the lead owing to its strong performance across social media channels and networks, pushing Samsung Mobile to second place. The brand enjoys strong sentiment and high volumes of conversation on auto forums that include blogs, boards, forums, and social media sites Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.
