The Zynga Success Story : 5 Facts You Did Not Know

As of June 2011, Zynga's games on Facebook have over 270 million monthly active users. Four of Zynga's games, CityVille, FarmVille, Zynga Poker, and FrontierVille, are the most widely-used game applications on Facebook, with CityVille having over 20 million daily active users.

Reportedly valued at $15 billion to $20 billion, Zynga is expected to file paperwork for an initial public offering with the Securities and Exchange Commission as early as June 29, 2011.
  • Zynga was named after an American bulldog once owned by Mark Pincus. They use a bulldog as their symbol.

      The infographic highlights the enormity of Zynga’s reach, as well as its astronomical revenue growth over the course of just three years. At the end of fiscal year 2010, Zynga reported $597 million in GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) revenue and $839 million in booked revenue. The company also boasts 232 million active monthly players.
