apple watch sales plunge by 90%,selling 5000 daily units

A recent report by Slice Intelligence show declining  Apple watch  sales , with its “online sales” slowing  down considerably.During the last 2 months  the company has seen sales plummet by 90% since the opening week. However this data might not reflect the absolute truth  as Slice bases its research on electronic receipts sent to millions of email addresses following purchases, estimates that Apple has been selling fewer than 20,000 watches a day in the U.S. since the initial surge  when the apple watch  started selling in April,


Apparently apple watch  has seen its sales dipping to as low as 5,000 units on some days in june . In US its sales stood at 2.79 million units in mid-June, about two months post launch.However according to experts at about


However  this data has its share of detracters as Apples sales numbers are taken from an e receipt which is gleaned  by a sample of consumers who volunteer to share their purchasing information. Slice obtains much of its consumer data from an shopping assistance iOS app (which includes support for Apple Watch).

So how many apple watches was finally sold ?data from slice Intelligence estimates that 957,000 people in the U.S. pre-ordered an Apple  on the 1st day it went for sale, 
On an  average  around  1.3 watches were ordered with spends of  $503.83 per watch. Those ordering an Apple Watch Sport spent $382.83 per watch and those ordering the Apple Watch spent $707.04.

Interestingly  those who bough the apple watch  72% purchased an Apple product in the past two years (iPhone, Mac or iPad), and 21% pre-ordered an iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus mere months ago

62%  purchased the less-expensive Sport model. However, many Apple Watch buyers invested in the pricier case but the cheapest band, with more than one third adding a black or white Sport band
