Pfizer-Allergan $700 billion acquisition beats Emc-Dell $66 billion to no 2 spot

EMIRATES, DELTA AND  UNITED  are among the worlds most valuable Airlines brand with a combined brand value of over$17.5 billion .The number one airlines brand with a highest brand value is EMIRATES.Emirates  continues to lead the sector with a 21% rise in brand value to US$6.6 billion. Formula 1, the French Open and most importantly football teams from PSG to Real Madrid and Arsenal to AC Milan all display the Emirates logo.

  3. Across real estate vertical the acquisition of  Deutsche Wohnen  by  Vonovia  was just $10billion
  4. Oil and Gas saw the deal in which the BG group was acquired by Royal Dutch Shell for $69.8 billion

Amazon and Google   provide the highest salaries across technology industry, however Google’s average pay of over $107,000 as compared to Amazon’s $93,000 ( This  salary is for candidates  with just one year experience at the individual companies) Amazon pays about $14,000 lower salary than Google. The median age for such salary packages  was just 29 at Google and 32 for amazon

Across  Insurance sector for mutual funds, mass mutual life insurance pays $80,000 (median pay)  compared to American Family Life Assurance whose median pay was $38,000 . They are for  employees  who have been with them for just under a year, whereas the median age for such remuneration was  38.

President Obama’s much vaunted Obamacare — is on shaky financial ground in many of the 23 states where the plans began.

The nonprofit health plans were envisioned as a consumer-friendly counterweight to for-profit insurers, a way to provide more competition, greater consumer choice and better coverage in markets typically dominated by big commercial carriers. The government allocated billions of dollars in loans for them, Insurance co ops under health law received $1.17billion  in federal loans , which the government said its  working on recouping the funds

Trends in VC investment across the Healthcare sector



Healthcare costs in the U.S. have gone up over 130% in the last decade, and healthcare is currently 18% of the GDP.

In 2014, Venture Capital Investments in Healthcare Services was 360M US dollars. PE  and VC funding over the last 5 years for Healthcare  has been on an downward trajectory over the last 4  years now.However There have been more than 400 healthcare deals in the first half of 2015, and the year is on track for a five-year high in funding.

 After 2000 .when the healthcare sector VC funding’s were at its peak at 3 billion, the next  biggest peak came in 2010-2011 where more than 1.5 billion ISD was pumped across different  healthcare verticals during the 2 years. At its most recent reporting value (December 31, 2014), the series was sitting down 36.92% from 2010. Over that span, it hit its minimum value on December 31, 2013 at 211M US dollars.

In 2014, heath insurance companies   also raised $308 million across 32 venture rounds, according to CrunchBase data — a 250% increase from the $88 million raised in 2013 and a 556% increase from 2012’s tota

Google Fit , to enter your Gym, to collect data from your health and fitness devices



Google is about to enter the ” Heath and wellness ” industry by its new launch of Google Fit, which aims to aggregate data from user generated health and fitness requirements including   personal gadgets ,or  mobile apps .



Google wants to be the place where health data is collected.-related apps, which users can access across their devices . This is Google firsts attempt to enter the fitness and wellness vertical after wearable devices.

 
According to Forbes report Google is expected to announce a new service called Google Fit” Google Fit will be a service that collects all the data from all of your health-tracking gadgets.”and help you store and access it across the cloud 



 This comes after the launch of Apple HealthKit framework, launched last week which plans to aggregate data from wearable devices and apps. Last month Samsung also unveiled Sami, a biometric data platform that collects health information from devices and apps too With.Google Fit , google would pose a direct competition to the 2 technology giants and the fight for the multibillion dollar health and Fitness market

65%  of all cancer deaths occur in low- and middle-income countries. Lung, breast, colorectal, stomach and liver cancers cause the majority of cancer deaths.

In high-income countries, the leading causes of cancer deaths are lung cancer among men and breast cancer among women. In low- and middle-income countries cancer levels vary according to the prevailing underlying risks.
