Carat’s latest global advertising expenditure forecasts that global advertising spend will grow by +4.0% in 2015 to US $529billion, while ad spends in 2016 is predicted to grow by +4.7%, accounting for an additional US$25billion in spending
Marketers will increase their Mobile and Online Video advertising spends especially across social media, with +51.2% and +22% year-on-year growth expected this year.Programmatic buying is also experiencing rapid growth at a rate of +20% each year.

Western Europe remains stable with consistent year-on-year growth at +2.6% in 2015 and +2.9% in 2016 driven by positive momentum in the UK and Spain.
The online & digital media, share of 2015 advertising spends was 24.3% which will increase to 26.5% in 2016..Digital continues to be the only channel which is seeing double digital growth, predicted at +15.7% in 2015 and +14.3% in 2016

internet speeds across the world: 50 nations compared
The global average connection speed saw a 3.5% increase in the second quarter of 2015, to 5.1 Mbps. According to Akamai state of the internet 2015 report.The below chart compared 50 nations and their internet connection speeds.Globally web speeds increased across the board for the top 10 countries/regions, with the exception of South Korea, which saw a 2.1% decrease from the first quarter. Japan saw the largest quarterly gain at 7.8%, while the remaining eight countries saw modest gains ranging from 1.5% in Hong Kong to 4.6% in Switzerland.
On a global basis, 107 of the 143 qualifying countries/regions saw average peak connection speeds increase from the first quarter, with growth ranging from 0.1% in Trinidad and Tobago (to 34.9 Mbps) to 100% in Egypt (to 23.4 Mbps). Other than Egypt, four countries—Uzbekistan, Mauritius, Ghana, and Tunisia—saw quarterly increases of over 50%.

5G Mobile services to be rolled by by ZTE as early as 2017
5 G launch in Japan is all set to roll out.ZTE has said that it has struck a deal with SoftBank to deploy its ‘pre-5G’ technology in Japan, with a commercial trial to begin early next year.
ZTE has touted its ‘pre-5G’ technology as providing faster speeds on 4G network.
According to ZTE ,5G is the next generation of networks that the wireless industry is hoping to have up and running by 2020.Globally, the company plans to invest 200 million euros ($220 million) in 5G and mobile communication technologies between 2015 to 2018.
Meanwhile South Korea, the world’s most mobile savvy nation which boasts as being the nation with fastest mobile download speeds are quite enthusiastic about rolling out the 5G mobile technology as early as 2017
Although its early to predict how fast will the 5G mobile services run,during a test run of 5G when Samsung announced in 2013 it was testing 5G at 1Gbps, journalists excitedly reported that a high-definition movie could be downloaded in less than half a minute. A speed of 800Gbps would equate to downloading 33 HD films – in a single second.
