Googe grows its profit by 12 loses its mobile ad marketshare by 8%

google grows its revenues by loses its mobile ad marketshare

Q1,2015 has seen google increase both its profit and revenue .While its profitability grew by 4% to reach $3.59bn (£2.37bn) its revenue rose 12% in Q1,2015 to reach $17.3billion. This was mainly due to 11% online ad revenue growth which touched  $15.5bn. Google’s core revenue, which excludes payments to traffic partners stood at $13.91b.

Out of a total digital spends of $145billion,,Google accounted for 31.42% of global  spends compared to 31.86% in 2013. Meanwhile facebook ‘ commanded 8% of global ad spends. One of the reason on why google has failed to add  a  bigger pie of the  total $145b ad spends, is due to the fact that  US and China make up 50%  of $145 global ad spends. The Chinese market is still hardwired by Chinese players and for Google this is obviously hurting .Google lost mobile ad market share in 2014, down to 38.2% in 2014 from 46% in 2013, with Facebook’s ad share up from 16.4% in 2013 to 17.4% in 2014.( data : emarketer)

TV ad Spending vs Online Ad spending

Business Insider CEO ” Henry Blodget recent presentation ” on the state of the digital market, apparently  showed that ” Online Ads  is exceeding TV and in his presentation headlined “Digital is now bigger than TV had  raised a fair amount  of controversy with ” many questioning the source of the data

Among  them were Tech Blog Digiday  which refutes that  though numbers shared by Blodget are not correct,According to a post by Digiday commenting on the  Chart it says that “the size of the  TV market was underestimated; Though emarketer consensus is $66.3 billion, but Blodget’s chart appears about half that

however that digital will overtake TV advertising sometime soon.. however “that time is yet to come anytime soon..

In by a post  by  Digiday’s    is reproduced below

This would be an epochal change, only it’s not really true. TV ad spending, at least going by measurements of over 10 different sources, remains far larger than Internet ad spending, in the U.S and the world. Here’s a roundup of sources from eMarketer. A rep there said “not even close” to the notion of digital overtaking TV

How many Dollar does the worlds biggest company earns per second

How much revenue do you think the ” World Biggest Corporations” earn every minute, This interactive  chart from economist shows how    much  the  biggest  companies earn in  each  second.

In each second this is what the biggest companies earn
  1.  Walmart collects $15,054,
  2. Google garners $1,897 and tiny
  3. Twitter ekes out $21. In the interactive chart below, companies race to reach $1m. (Partial spoiler alert: the winner clocks in at 1 minute 6 seconds.)

It offers a fresh look at the relative commercial power of big companies. Professional investors are aware—hopefully—of these differences. But others may be surprised by some of the relationships. Coca-Cola earns more than PepsiCo despite fewer sales. Boeing and Airbus enjoy about equal revenue, but the American firm is much more profitable. For more, read the “charticle” in the latest issue, here.
